EvilLore realized Sporks was a bit too much of a toll, with double standards the size of a mountain, and his whole Nintendo thing was tiresome.

But i agree, emotional bans are stupid. Amirox, Bishop, Dragona, all have at least an history of emotional bans. But i honestly believe, the mods doing most of the banning...aren't the ones you see most active.

For large forums like GAF, I'm in favor of a heavy hand style of modding.  You need to get rid of the idiots and you need to set a tone with the trolls and other low quality posters that their shit won't be tolerated.

Problem is that the GAF mods kept banning too much of the wheat and left most of the chaff untouched.  Which is how tools like Gaborn, Vinci, and RubxQub run wild.

If something bugs you, speak up about it. If you are loud and they ban you too, then someone else will get loud about that. This repeats and eventually they have a big enough problem of banning so many people that they have to either hold off or eat pride.

You have to realize, the worst they can do is ban you from posting at an internet forum. The worst that can happen for them is killing their own internet forum. You really don't risk much. Net communities die all the time by their own hands.
