I wasn't making a judgment call about the pedophilia when I said that. His friend seems more preoccupied with survival than correcting the problem and I know enough vice-slaves to know that isn't a good recipe for success in a situation like this.

I don't buy that. Some people find children more attractive or just as attractive as adults. That doesn't mean their brains are wired that way, it's a sexual desire. I suppose there are some people who were "born" pedophiles but overall I'd say that's a choice.
