I saw the Book of Eli trailer a while back and it looked kinda dull. The only redeeming quality was that it had Gary Oldman, though, don't know how big his role is.

But to be fair, that is just judging from that one trailer. Maybe there was more stuff they know about. I'd still watch anything with Gary Oldman.

If it's pretty and nerdy, people will think it belongs in a museum. I don't think the industry is really there yet though but some games can blow you away at times wrt atmosphere but that's a thing you have to actually play through. Watching a video or doing a 5 minute demo is useless. Will be interesting to see what the guy who started that thread (the guest curator for the exhibit) can come up with if he has 2.5 years to do that.

the title of the exhibit is the art of videogames, this isn't going to be displayed in a history museum nor do is it going to try to convince art critics that gaming is an artform. it's just another tourist trap for the dc area under the guise of better appreciating the design put into game making.

who gives a shit what they put in the exhibit and more likely than not, your favorite titles will be included.

I was watching some GOW1 documentary stuff...maybe it was on the disc or something...and I came away with the impression that the team fought a lot and that they hated him. Usually people suppress their rage for those behind-the-scenes interviews, but the hate was palpable.
