Well, I don't really like the term "revisionist history", because too often it gets thrown about as a smear term. If actual new information comes to light on an issue, we
should "revise" our historical understanding.
That being said, from my understanding of the atomic bombings, the only way to oppose their use and be able to make a case for it would be to oppose the unconditional surrender policy, or to oppose conventional strategic bombing as well. But both of those would require a far broader debate than just the use of the atomic bombs against Japan.
Any other arguments just don't hold up in the face of the historical facts, imo.
