I can't make my own thread, and Malek locked his, so I'll post my story here.
Well I wanted to take Cheebs's advice and sit next to the girl, but when I got to class I noticed she wasn't there. So I just sat in my regular seat, only to see her come in 5 minutes later and sit where she normally does. But the day was not lost. After break a lot of people wound up leaving class, but I stayed. When the teacher came back she said we'd be going over the handout sheet she had given out last time...in groups. There was a chick sitting a seat down to my left. A guy was sitting between us earlier, but he had left; she's friends with him or something, so this was my shot.
Basically if you saw her from a few feet away you'd say she was a 10/10. But when you get closer you notice her face is kinda messed up a bit due to acne. I've never seen a good looking college chick with that kind of acne; it's not red or anything, but it almost looks like a burn or something. Anyway, she's still good looking, but it seems like she's somewhat quiet and standoff-ish. At least to me; I've been in a class with her three times now, and I've always gotten the feeling she was giving me the evil eye.
But when we worked in the group I had no problem talking to her, and she talked to me. I got her to laugh a few times, and we basically talked about the class. I was horrified when I noticed my hands were ashy as FUCK, but I figured who cares, I'm rolling tonight. I wasn't expecting anything. I was very impressed that I was able to talk to her and have no problems. It's clear that I can do it, I just need to get the courage to start the conversations. This time the teacher forced us into groups, so that helped me. Today I made progress nonetheless
