Got Talib Kweli's new album, Eardrum. Overall it's good, although many songs sound the same - mainly due to the flow. Some things don't sound polished, especially in the delivery. And I noticed some lyrics are recycled - one song is just the lyrics from a Def Jam poetry rap he did, with a bad beat over it. Felt very tacked together.
Production is pretty good, and Kanye has a great song on there (In the Mood). But it's not cleaner than the version that was on Kanye's mixtape. Luckily it doesn't feature Kanye's wack ass verse, but it features some very annoying background ad libs or whatever. OMG
And Kweli, I KNOW YOU HATE RELIGION WHAT ELSE. Three songs are aimed at religion, and while two are awesome it seems like overkill, lyrically.
