That's a simplistic explanation of the race. Neither candidate is a lock to defeat McCain, who has a lot of things going for him right now - including American's newfound love of the Iraq war (sigh). This Wright issue would hurt Obama in a general and you know it. His numbers are already falling with no cure in sight; the media tried their hardest to inflate the Ferraro fiasco and it fizzled right after the fool "resigned" from Hillary's campaign. We are still taking about Wright, Obama just gave a speech addressing it, and come 5PM all the major news channels will be discussing it. It's a loss for Obama no matter how you spin it. As I said, it's like Romney's religion speech - the fact that he even had to make a special speech addressing the issue tells me it's a loss.
