i love the new GAFspin - there aren't as many games on PS3, so now people don't play games that often and are wanting a more rounded system.

So basically, PS3 = a casual (non) gamers machine. At least Wii owners play games, no matter how shitty they are.

Go on and hate on Sony or Microsoft who whoever the hell you want, but I never understand he idea that someone owning a PS3 would never touch third party games.  If you only have a PS3, there are tons of great games to play.  Granted that some of these games are inferior to the 360 versions (except Oblivion and Burnout Paradise), but if you only have the PS3, most third party games aren't poison.

Personally, I think all you console manufacturer boner strokers are crazy.  Even if you somehow felt you needed to champion something to make yourself feel better when you play it, at least let it be the PC.  Have some dignity for crying out loud.

Advantages to paying for LIVE? the fuck you talking about? Of course people are going to keep paying for it.  Wanna play Gears 2 online? gotta have Gold.  Wanna play Too Human with four two friends online? gotta have gold.  Same with Banjo.  Same with Forza 3.  Same with Fable 2.  Even if you want to keep playing Halo 3 online, you gotta have gold.

The Xbox Live monopoly is genius on Microsoft's part.  Even if you think "oh, I want to play Bad Company but not pay for Live, so I'll get it on PS3".  That doesn't work because you will think a little and realize that there is at least one exclusive game you want to play online, so you might as well fork over the $50 and buy the game on 360 anyway.  Pure filthy greedy genius.

It isn't a shame that people with both consoles aren't buying these games for PS3, but anyone would buy the 360 version instead.  It's a shame that people are so ignorant to game library as a whole when talking about it.  I own all three consoles and a good PC, but I can understand if one person couldn't afford all that.  I wouldn't go and rag on someone laughing about how their system doesn't have games when the only system they own is a PS3 or something.
