Youtube comments suggest the monkey is the company's mascot or something, so it's likely just a cultural miscue*. As for GAF's reaction--well it's an affront to The Lord, so it will be smoten. EuroGAF will understand but not see the big deal, and they + JapaGAF might try to make the point I raise above / some sort of cultural excuse, and be lambasted / banned for interjecting some sense of perspective and reality.
* however, you do have to question why--especially in an increasingly-connected world--if they're obviously "aping" an American figure for his cachet / appeal, they didn't bother to think through / understand the ramifications of doing so in a culturally-ignorant and offensive manner.
