It truly is a shit-fest of shovelware, as a PS3 owner I'm not excited about much. There's big games coming for other-peoples' tastes, but I feel a little left out cold. For Wii, I'll definitely consider:

Sam & Max: Season 1 -- comes out the end of this month in Europe
Wario Land: The Shake Dimension
Samba di Amigo
Animal Crossing

And one or more of these could turn out half decent:

The gist of it, what I could glean from that thread, is that we don't have anything like that in games at present. What we have in games are lighting models, that bake on shadows, cheat when it comes to reflection and refraction and so on. If you were to render a scene in Maya, and use something like Mental Ray, depending on the kit you have, it would take some time to do what nVidia have achieved there at 30 frames per second. Thats why some people in the thread were saying - the whole point is that its more than .5fps...

That set up they're talking about (the four quadros) is pumping out 2 million polygons AND doing real real-time raytracing at a fair clip. Think about it as applied to a render farm situation rather than a game situation.

I've been to some of those places and they're much worse. Maybe they are, N. Korea isn't my area of focus.

For the record, I am not trying to defend N. Korea or Kim Jong-il. I just don't think rampant consumerism as an economic model for development, and the desire to see in N Korea (and for some reason Cuba too) is as positive as everyone seems to think it is.
