It can't ever be right to stereotype so many people on the actions of such a small minority. He doesn't out and out say it but it's implied.
My main problem isn't really what he is say on top but the way he's presenting it. His tone sound exactly like a religious zealot. He talks about Muslim organizations conspiring to keep the truth from being hear. He connects neonazi's with muslims
" For the analogy-impaired:
Nazism --> Islam
neo-Nazis --> fundamentalist Muslims
neo-Nazis who reject much of Nazism --> moderate Muslims". He talks about Obsession and acts like the average American, who probably had 911 as their introductory course to Islam, is really going to understand the difference between radical Islam and moderate Islam on the title of the movie and the two sentence disclaimer blurb. That's destroying reason exactly as a fundamentalist would.
The fact is what he wrote made me angry, angry in the same why I get when I watch KKK docs. The tone he used was full of hate, and he makes his arguments with that tone, which is exactly what he is faulting religion for. I got angry and the thing is I agree with him for the most part. The DVD probably had no connection to this incident. I think fundamentalist Islam, and Christianity are horrible things. Though I don't think you can fault the whole religion by the actions of the sect. By saying what he said in the way he said it, it undermines peoples ability to reason, to find out for themselves why what he is saying might be right instead of fear mongering. We could get rid of all the religion in the world, but if we still had people like him we'd still have the same problem.
