That is because the future line up is as shit as its current line up.  Mad World and Monster Hunter 3 are not enough and the big titles like Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart have been released.  The Wii blew its quality load Late 2007/Early 2008.

Unless Nintendo breaks their habit of one iteration of Mario, Mario Kart, and Smash Brothers.  If Galaxy 2 were coming to Wii, I might look into getting another Wii again.  Might.  If the future of the Wii is now Animal Crossing and Wii Music, I owned the Wii for the brief moment it was worth owning.  Galaxy was a great game and Mario Kart was not that bad (despite the extremely cheap AI in the latter cup races).  Brawl would have been ok if the game's pacing wasn't so slow and the online worked once in a while.

Ehn, I kind of agree with him.  I've met a lot of different kinds of people, and within the "socially normal" portion of humanity, I think gamers are among the worst.  Angry, bitter, awkward, typically misogynistic, generally pretty poor critical thinkers... I wouldn't want to share an apartment with most gamers, I'll put it that way.

That's why it's important to stick to forums like this one.  EB enjoys taking the piss, no doubt, but I think for the most part this board has the upper crust of gamers.  Except Himuro.  Leper that filth.

Game Party from Midway did well too, so much that there's a More Game Party out now. I'd hardly class Carnival Games as shovelware either.

This is very true. You can see it with multiplatform releases - things like Lego Batman or Force Unleashed they're consistently lower than 360, PS3 and PS2 for the initial launch period. But then if you look later on they perform quite well.

this analogy makes no sense. unlike the pc, the wii's library is all shovelware targeting casuals and non-gamers, and i am not sure what used copies of old sports games have to do with anything. buy a 360!
