The first three seasons of Family Guy are pretty good. FG at its best is nowhere near Classic Simpsons, but it's still enjoyable nontheless.

Season 4 onwards is atrocious, though.

The thing with GAF and King of the Hill is that a lot of them miss the entire point of the show. It is one thing to say something like "King of the Hill isn't that great because the writing is bland." No, they assume that it is a show only hicks would like because the characters are from some podunk town in Texas.

I'm not shocked that a lot of these people are Family Guy fans. Its obvious that they have no discernable skill into cartoon depth; they can't understand anything that isn't blatantly thrown in their face. These people respond more to "lol penis" than how Hank Hill would react to a guy that unknowingly brings home a prostitute. I'm not a blind King of the Hill fanboy but if you think the show is basically for hicks because there are some on the show, then you're a total re-re.

I was watching King of the Hill earlier, it was the whole "Inter office manners" and using obscene jokes episodes (Man on Man Sexual Harassment

). It definitely has its moments where you genuinely laugh at the nuances of the characters personalities. Everyone that likes Family Guy wants their jokes to punch them in the face and spit in the mouth just in case they didn't get it the first time.
