Everyone except for deluded Sony fans (who thought it would outsell Mario 64, no joke) knew that it was going to struggle.  It is just a radically different game than what the userbase is accustomed to.  When all you do is publish shooters and action games, why would you expect them to rush to this game?  Even more foolish, why would one expect millions of people to get this system just for this game?  Its an ambitious title but it isn't a must have.

It will do ok for what it is.  I thought it would get under 500k total but that is probably underestimating.  If Sony sells more than a million of this worldwide, that should be good enough.

With his latest post he clarified himself, and in the context of that thread, it makes sense. Fine, I accept that. But, did everyone in that thread know he was deliberately playing along, instead of just really lashing out? I don't think so. The comments posted after the Dyack comparison proves that.
