I'm just surprised that it went that high. They could have just set a goal for the equipment they needed and once that was met, it was over. No way does podcasting equipment cost 11 thousand

Holy fuck. I dunno about video equipment, but you can make a semi-decent-sounding podcast with a laptop, a breakout box, headsets, and Audacity. And libsyn podcast hosting doesn't charge for bandwidth.

I think it's time to relaunch Operation: Evilbore Podcast again, even though our first test recording back in 2007 was a lolflop (I think I still have that audio somewhere, if my HDD crash didn't eat the only copy). I've gotten a bit more familiar with editing since then.

I want some nerd monies.

it wasn't a cast, it was just a test recording

we were using ventrilo, which didn't allow recording in conventional formats, so i had to playback the recorded audio file through audacity and record it again

it was a mess, and it's only about five minutes long

we didn't even talk about video games
