I knew you were but I just had to rail against those types of people. I'm down with drugs but not the drug culture that surrounds it, which includes downplaying the severity of drugs like heroin.

I used to get a bit upset with friends who would spend whole parties preaching about the innocence of whatever narcotics were around at the party. Not because I minded the drugs myself, but it's a calculated risk. These narcotics are not for everyone, and you accept a certain risk when you take them. They are not risk free, as some of these people would argue.

And speaking of hurting their own cause, crackdowns commonly happen when the wrong individual (say, son of a Senator) gets the idea that the drug is risk free, or that he is invincible to lethal combinations.

As for heroin, it's a bitch. My sister got hooked on it, bad. Not fun.

Agreed.

Considering how most teens and young adults pirated something in their lives (usually MP3s), he would be effectively shunning most of his peers. Which would be fine because I'm sure they shunned him first.
