I'll be petting her one minute, she's all calm and peaceful, and the next she's clinging to my arm and scratching the fuck out of it. Also, she runs all over the house at night, knocking shit over.

   Is she a calico cat?  They're crazy.  I was in this used book store near me and they had a cat there who'd be purring while I was petting her/him then the next second it lashed out at me.  Luckily I had my coat on and with my cat-like reflexes (ironic) I was able to escape.  Our cats don't usually run around at night (having a 2 room apartment helps too).

K, so she's just a nutter.  Sorta like the guy who's sitting on my lap now, sometimes he goes into bite mode but he's been getting better as he gets older.  He's not even a year yet.  Our other cat is a black and white cat too (OMG we're cat twin BFF's!) and she's fat.  But she's cuddly and has a cute face.

Of course, that's provided they are taken in by owners who care about them. You know, keep them INSIDE, get them speutered, get vet checkups, feed them food that isn't the equivalent of cardboard, that sort of thing.
