Metroid Prime at least has decent art direction. Both series have godawful controls. At least Metroid Prime has an interesting setting and half-decent platforming. Shenmue has an awful, embarassing translation (any game that I would be embarassed to get busted by my mom while playing due to the shockingly awful writing gets major minus points. MGS is also in this category at times).
