The pacing was there, the story was there, the music was there, the controls were there, the setting was there, the rooted religion was there.

Shenmue was not.

I recently bought Advent Rising on Steam.  It runs really well on PC, though in high resolution, the plainness of the textures does stand out.  It's a pretty fun game, though.  The FPS controls translate perfectly to PC.  Yes, it is very much better than Shenmue.
