How do you get so much back? I dunno how US taxes work...I've only ever been work-for-hire in the US and salaried in Japan (so exempt from US income tax). Do they refund some of the money they withhold? Why are they giving it back so far in advance of 4/15?

I pay a bit extra in -- like $200 a paycheck (2x each month). I like having HAPPY TAX DAY instead of SAD TAX DAY.

4/15 is the LAST date you can file taxes without an extension -- you have from 1/1 until 4/15. The IRS pays it out as they get the returns filed. I'll get my monies next week. I've already got my beaner picked out -- his name is Manuel and he has no health insurance.

1. there's probably one within walking distance. there's definitely one at the Sears in the Overlake Mall.
2. have your W2 and if you bought/sold any stock, the mail from your broker.
3. expect it to take 30-45 minutes.

i owed some money due to me cashing out on some investments but i got payed what i owed with some extra investments from my grandparents. fuckers just got a new computer just to do taxes. while i have no computer i hate them but not as much as my other grandparents them unsupportive fuckers gave all my cusins a college trustfund all ten of them im the 3rd born and i get shit. fuck taxes

If you only have a W-2, just do TurboTax. it's easy as fuck and files online for you. On the other hand, all you hafta do at H&R Block is sign papers and nod.

My wife and I actually itemized this year and it was still quite simple with TurboTax.
