A under-rated director imo. PICK YOUR FAVORITES.

Since everyone would list batman I took them out.

Ed Wood > Beetle Juice > Batman, imo.

The rest either isn't very good, or I haven't and have no desire to see it.

Yeah, but I would replace Pee Wee with Mars Attacks, simply because MA has a wacky Jack Nicholson and Pee Wee Herman annoys the shit out of me.

If you erase anything pee-wee related other than that film then you should be fine. The craze that followed after it was insane.

Mars Attacks, well I saw it once in theaters and was scared because all my favorite actors starting dying off and ran out.  :'( Never tried it again since.

Tim Burton when he goes overly emo goth ala Scissorhands is bad stuff.

Ignoring Edward Scissorhand's themes, it is one of his better looking films.  I'd rank it over either Batman.

I liked Big Fish. Beetlejuice was kinda lame to me, same with Pee Wee's. Never seen Ed Wood. Scissor hands is meh as well.
Watch Beetlejuice drunk or really high.  That's how I learned to appreciate it.  I never really got it when I was younger, but then I saw it on HBO one night when I was high as balls and it was fucking amazing.

Caroline Thompson wrote it, Henry Selick directed it.

Why would I include a movie he didn't do but not include Mars Attacks when I included everything else he did? Stop being stupid.

Burton did not write nor direct Christmas thus it does not make it one of his films. Why would I remove Mars Attacks when I included every film he directed?
Himumu wants to wipe away a film from Burton's directorial efforts for no reason and include a film that isn't his!

Ed Wood > Edward Scissorhands by a country mile. Though, I will say its an aquired taste -- you have to have some background on Ed Wood before diving into the biopic.

Don't feel the need to defend that, that is general consensus. You know its a fact when both Willco(in some other past thread) and shake agree to declare it as his best work.

Mars Attacks is his most underappreciated film. How many films get so many major name actors and then finds ways to creatively kill them all? Martin Short? dead by a cheeseburger alien hooker. Pierce Brosnan? Plummets to death as a decapitated head. Sarah Jessica Parker? ditto. Danny Devito? raygunned. Micheal J Fox? pwnd. Jack Black? incinerated. Jack Nicholson? rolled over by a giant earth AND nuked. That right there is just awesome.

Mars Attacks! is pretty awesome - why the hate?  The President is killed when he goes to shake the hand of a martian, then the martian's hand comes off, runs around his body and impales him with the martian flag.  How awesome is that?

They incinerate Jack Black, use the Washington monument to kill schoolchildren and have a scene where a decapitated Pierce Brosnan admits his love to Sarah Jessica Parker, whose head is attached to a dog's body.
