Only another hour of downloading  :lol and Ill be able to see this beast. Man what a slow download, the Sony servers must be getting pounded.

AICN has it in streaming format, even though it's not HD.

Pepperoni/green peppers actually. Basically our plan was to leave school at 3pm and go see the movie around 5. So we all went to our respected classes (all towards the end of the semester) and planned to call each other around 3. I got the call around 3:05pm, at which point I made a sad face and said "I'll be right there!" to throw the teacher off. My friend actually yelled "GRANDMA?" into the phone and ran out of his class - leaving his backpack and books on the desk :lol

So anyway after that we crammed another friend's small ass car, threw on some Metallica, and headed to the dollar store. We got a shit ton of candy to pack into our pockets since you can't bring food into the theater. A bit later we ordered the pizza (LARGE), and my friend put it into his pants; he was wearing some of his dad's large ass work jeans. :bow

Got into the show around 30min before the trailers started rolling and ate.

And I shit you not, when Mary Jane said "go get em Tiger" towards the end of the movie like half of the audience exploded in cheers. A lot of the people who weren't comic fans didn't get it lol :lol

This is the question that needs answering! Better yet, who puts pizza, or any food for that matter, down their pants?

It was in a box, like all pizzas from Pizza Hut...

So it's not like his junk was exposed to the food

For movies like Spidey, LOTR, Star Wars that opened on weekdays I went in the evening opening day. Bigger crowds of adult fans and more excitement then then going at like 3 PM. Except for Revenge of the Sith and The Phantom Menace. I saw those at midnight.

I saw TPM opening day at midnight, TWICE. I doubt anyone in the world has but me lol. I saw it opening day at midnight here in the states and a week later our family went to London England for like 3 months and TPM was opening there like a week after we got there.

I went at midnight showing day one there as well just for the hell of being able to say I saw it at midnight opening day twice even though the film wasn't that great.

All 3(the two tpm midnights lol) were epic fun. No people in costumes luckily at my ROTS one. We all played star wars triva pursuit for like an hour in the theater with everyone in the audience. I'll see Indy IV at midnight I suspect as well next year.

Ok, watched it. I am one of the bigger S-M and S-M2 fans around these parts, but I thought the whole thing was awful. Why do these movies, especially after the great financial success of S-M, have such pathetic special effects? Also, the acting and mannerisms look terrible. Theres several shots that are LOL-worthy. Finally, did Maguire just stop working out period?

I do wonder if Sony will continue with 4. Toby is out, Dunst is out, Raimi is out though he still may "exec. produce" which means nothing since Burton produced Batman Forever.

I dunno if you can pull a batman forever like restart a mere couple years after a sequel with this franchise.

They should just end it. Not killing off Aunt May in this movie is going to be a mistake. They should have her die as she did in the comic: revealing she knew Peter was Spiderman. That would give the movie some added emotional weight imo.

Wait, May died in the comics? When?!

A long ass time ago. It was a nice, heartfelt storyarc too. Basically she revealed on her death bed that she knew he was Spiderman. That's what I like about the old Spiderman comics: they were action packed, but there was always an emotional undercurrent. Whether it was Harry's drug problem or Gwen Stacy's horrific death, Stan Lee and the writers who followed him were always doing more than just a superhero yarn.

He was the first teen superhero at a time when teens were only used as dumb sidekicks, and to make matters more interesting he was a poor social outcast, in direct contrast to the rich playboy backgrounds of Batman/Ironman/etc.

Superboy is a joke complete piece of shit and doesn't deserve to be mentioned in any serious discussion about comicbook history

But Superboy? Come on. Spiderman is totally original while Superboy is like mini Superman, but worse at school. But then again Superman isn't that smart either since he's just a photographer lolz

I was one who enjoyed the clip lol. I do think the movie will be average at best, not cause of CGI. 3 bad guys makes things way too complicated. One is un-needed(sandman), one is ugly as hell (goblin), and the only cool one only has 10 min of screen time.  >:(

Most definitely.  I've never defended the movie and it pisses me off that they put three villains in there instead of focusing on the coolest and the one that would really sell this movie to ANYBODY.  Everyone who knows the smallest bit about Spiderman knows Venom.

But the CG whores are pretty obnoxious.

I read a comic book where Aunt May became Galactus's herald and looked like the Silver Surfer, sorta.  I'm sure that'll happen with Captain America too!
