It's a toss up between Shadow of Destiny and the Fatal Frame series.

The Fatal Frame series was cool, but not "the best". There were heaps of problems with the games, in terms of play mechanics. Still, creepy as fuck: I'm yet to finish the second one, because I'm a complete pussy.

I'd agree with that.

Ico is probably my favourite game on the system. I know it's a bit flawed, but the emotional pull it has is something I've never felt from any other game.

Yeah, I'm not going to disagree with that, it's just that I never played that many PS2 games so it's not like I have a lot to choose from when it comes to picking my favorites.

I can easily tell you what my favorite Xbox (KOTOR) and Gamecube (Resident Evil 4) games are, but the PS2 is tough, there are just too many good games.

Yeah, there's just something about that 30 minute run that keeps me going back. And the music! That's closest EA have come to a perfect soundtrack.

Going down the mountain from top to bottom is the best thing ever. By golly I need a youtube of it because I sold my ps2 SSX3. I plan on rebuying for Xbox.

There's way too many games on the PS2 to narrow the list down to just one. Even to the "best" in a single genre! Let's all just agree that the PS2 has been the best console in gaming history thus far and leave it at that.
