Ok I beat Double Agent. Defiantly tied with Pandora for worst splinter cell. It looked like an xbox game but with better loading times (IE levels were hardly ever put into segments). The level design was dull. I remember a lot of the other splinter cell levels but I can't even remember what the first level to this game was. the double agent thing was damn cool though and is the games only saving grace. Makes me hope for the next one they go back in time a do one where you play as sam's father trying to smuggle shit across the Berlin wall. so the whole city would be seamless and you'd have to do missions for both the Americans and the commies. it would be grand.

6/10.

I love how they have made half the challenge trying to NOT fight enemies, lol.

I can just picture the discussion the designers at Ubi had.

"Bill! Words just in, they DON'T like combat"!

Bill grasps his heart.
"But, but Warrior Within, combats what he focused on!"

6 months latter and after numerous tests.

"we'll Chuck, I just can't see why those kids didn't like combat. I mean you have to rigorously tap x over and over, whats not to love? People love rigorous stuff. Fuck the kids, if they don't like to fight they can bloody well hop around the enemies!"

I never understood the hate against PoP 3d battle systems. You don't see people complain that much about Zelda battle systems, and they aren't anymore complex. PoP really isn't about the fights.

But thats the thing, its not about the fights but they keep on forcing you into fighting again and again. Which zelda does - to a lesser extent though - but zelda has a lot of variety in its enemies and they usually only need 3 hits instead of pops 20 to take down.

What the fuck is wrong with the developers at ubi? really. I'm at the boss with the sword and the ax guy this fucking shit is ridicules. I mean first off all there is a very lengthy chariot thing right before the boss so your pretty much out of sand before the fight. Then there is no save before the fight. Now the boss battle in the game before have been great. they have been about working the environment to kill the boss instead of fighting, but for some goddamn reason the guys at ubi decided that their just going to ignore everything that they knew was wrong with warrior within and but in a boss soly about combat. But thats not enough noooo, they decide to make the fucking boss very hectic, making so that if you accidentally swing at the ax guy he automatically hits you. Did I mention that you can't block half the attacks. What fuck were they thinking. Jesus.

I haven't been this frustrated since the last boss of warrior within.

Just beat pop 3. I have to say I really liked it, it was sands of time, with just a few things missing but also a few things improved. It needed a wider verity of scenery, and I miss the sword up grades from the first game, which made combat a little more bearable and the sword and axe boss should never been let though testing but other than that not much complaints. The stealth kills speed up combat and the prince was more the prince of sot instead of that angsty fuck from warrior. I watched a bonus video from sands at the end, wow the graphics have come a long ways, same with animation. It finished the series nicely. Its to bad that warrior sucked ass because both sands and two thrones are great games.

8.5/10.

SGC has save states. But yes, genesis games didn't have the luxury of save games (aside from a few). We had to start all over every time we wanted to play.

yes that does bug me espacily because I feel into a pit and got a instant death, but if its a short game then I have no problem going though it lots to get to the end. if its not short then I will use save states.
