Some of you might know that this week is the SXSW 2007 music and film festival here in Austin, Texas. The big movie that opened the festival was "Manufacturing Dissent," which is a documentary about Michael Moore. Our advanced producing class this semester is taking this movie and trying get distribution for it. Anyway, I have been hanging out with the filmmaker's, Rick Caine and Debbie Melnyk all week. They did a CNN and MSNB interview today right before we went out. I didn't buy a badge or anything but they get me into all these parties and screenings that its just fucking awesome. Today we went to a DGA and WGA party downtown with open bars. Last night there was an IFC party.
If any of yall get a chance to see the movie, it's really great.
