I'm on your roads
« on: March 15, 2007, 04:24:52 PM »
I just got my permit to drive last week, and as well I got a LS 400. So before I go out and drive I have to get insurance. So I went to the family insurance agent yesterday. He wasnt around so I left him a message. Got a call back and found out that I already have insurance for my vehical. And casue I didnt let him know that I didnt get my license 4 years ago when I had a permit back then. I now have 4 years of experience and no accidents on my record. So I have a really great rate and payed insurance for 6 months. WOOT WOOT and here I was worried about not having insurance.

Now to find someone with a license 18 or older that doesnt mind driving with me. Fucking laws.

So you had a permit to drive once you were over 16 and you got a provisional license now?

And they pay the insurance for the time until your driver's test?

I got my provisional license (over 18) last friday.

I had a permit 4 years ago to drive, then i let it expire after i failed the test several times. I just got my provsional permit. So I still need someone in the vehical with me. My grandparents were paying for insurance on one of their cars all this time without knowing. So we got credited for 6 months with insurance which is a good deal. Which gives me 6 months to take the test pass the test and get my damn license finally.

Yeah i'm not getting into it but. This time i'll eventually pass. The only thing i hate is i cant see the front and back of my car its a huge long sedan. But i'll pass i feel it. I only missed 3 on the written test which i thought was a miracle.

I haven't driven a big car in a long time but you get used to getting it's big ass around a turn.  I actually failed the test the first two times since I didn't study much at all.  Friend failed 15 times (had to pay to register 5 times).

Ouch yeah lets just said I failed more than once. But it wasnt my choice to wait this long to get my license.

This big bitch of a car will become my bitch. Anyways yeah the insurance thing was just ironic and kind of crazy. But its awesome cause now i got 3 more years and if i dont get into a wreck i'll have the best insurance ever.

So, you got a permit when you were 13? Where DO you live?

My friend...is a fucking idiot.  He actually carried the old tests with him (it's very easy to do since everybody has their own little cubicle) so he had every single answer when he passed.  I don't get why they do that bullshit with making you wait 6 months to take the test.

for the written its only 2 weeks if you fail. Its a few months if you mess up the behind the wheel test. longer if your a horrible driver cause they'll suspend you.
