Cowabunga dudes
« on: March 17, 2007, 07:51:22 PM »
So i just got off work today, got to check some cans today and one was TMNT. Its fucking awesome, i am really skeptical about remakes and sequels but this movie rocked. If you want the turtles to live for your kids then go see the movie. It comes out on the 23rd.

They really captured the turtle theme from the tv show and even brought in some good moral themes. And splinter fucking kicks all kinds of ass. The comedy was there in full effect and the awesomeness could not be beat.

Others that i tested today were: Last Mimmzy we just got it yesterday and were suppost to have it ready for tomorrow. Shooter, and The Hills Have Eyes 2. Also i had to setup the huge Spiderman 3 skyline and put it out. I love my job.

So go see the movie folks. Trust me you wont be disapointed.

Nz and ManaByte liked the movie, that's pretty much the only confirmation I need that it sucks long and hard.

That would make it movie of the century. But i'm not going to spoil the movie. Its really good though. Lost of throw backs in the movie and little easter eggs that are awesoe for us older tmnt lovers.

The tv show sucks. Nostalgia aside, it sucked. I am hoping for a mature take, ala the comics and the first movie. If it's WILD AND CRAZY AND distinguished mentally-challenged I'll probably not like it.

I'm not going to see it unless I hear that one or both of them are in it, so spill the beans if they are.

Semi mature its a good mix just enough for original fans of the comic and its darker edge. But its also got the comedy from the first live action movie. Its all good though, you should enjoy it.

The first live action movie was the best mixture. It had the comedy sure, but it was also dark. TMNT 2 and 3 were fucking ridiculous looking back. TMNT still entertains me to this day.

Plush but with the weapon being plastic? I had the same thing. And there is a video of a girl on Cheggit ridding a TMNT big plush.

Everything is always Raphael centric. He's like the Wolverine of the Ninja Turtles, overexposed.

It makes sense though. As hard as it may be to admit he is the only turtle with a multi-dimensional personality. It's hard to have a plot focus on the "lol funny" mikey who is nothing more or the "lol nerdy" don who is nothing more....etc

It is easiest to do plot points with Raph since he has a layered personality unlike the rest and is the only one who doesn't fall into line.

I've been watching the new animated series. Its pretty good actually. They have appearances from all of the old characters. Like the future dino dudes. Then the turtles got sent to the future and now the series is set in the future its pretty cool.

The movie and the series are in two different universes of the TMNT timeline. This is a pick up from the old stuff that us 20 something folks love. It does have some influences from the newer series but if you havent watched it you wont notice those things as much.

I never said I didn't want to see the movie, you fuck. I'm simply pointing out that you said absolutely NOTHING about the movie except that it's good. I'm not new to TMNT, so I know the movie isn't going to be full of spoilers. Cough it up, taco. You never saw it.
