I go with A View To A Kill. Waaaaaaaaay too old Roger Moore SURFING to the Beach Boys. Uuggggh. Its fun in a campy Batman & Robin way but still.

Octopussy my god was that movie shit. And even worse is moonraker. I hate most all of the moore movies. They should have kept the guy from her majesty's secret service.

you are in the minority son. Even the DVD has a part on its documentary about how the movie has gone from being not well looked upon when it was released to now being considered one of the greatest in the franchise.

yeah your right i'm wrong how my brain has failed me. Done too much today. Yes For your eyes only was good. I havent seen it in a while. I really should drive over to costco today and purchase the dvd sets they are only 33 bucks a pop. But with the good comes the horrible and bad.

There was NOTHING garbage about it. It had:

-The best Bond outside of Connery
-A good story that actually flows really well and makes Bond look HUMAN and not a twat like he is in some movies
-Some of the best action sequences of the early Bond flicks
-The best Blofeld
-Hot Bond chick he could actually act. (Ex of a bad one: Plenty O'Toole of DAF fame

)
-The best ending next to Casino Royale.

It was such a drastic turn from You Only Live Twice, in such a good way. Having a slow musical montage of Bond in love? Wow. And the ending of Bond

You two like them for all the reasons I hate them. Best ending? Their both melodramatic and very anticlimatic. "O no so she was working for the bad guys! But I loved her and now shes going to drown her self! Sigh". Both casino Royale and OHMSS are the odd balls of the bond movies, and they are much more of an attempt to be like other movies instead of bond. OHMSS I'll say the killing of his girl was fine and was an important event in bonds character, its when he stopped being human and became a machine. He isn't human. That is his character and so when you ask for more your not asking for bond. Bond shouldn't have the conventional love interest, he doesn't love women - he uses them, and a bond movie shouldn't need the predictable plot twists like the one mentioned above for casino royale. Look at golden eye, it told a great story with out resorting to such things.

Now I'm not saying the bond needs to be nearly as stagnant and unchanged as it is. But if you want what what casino royale is then your not saying you want bond, what you want is a movie like mission imposable 2.

I personally still think Connery is the best Bond, but I think the best bond movie was actually Casino Royale..

I also think there's no way Daniel can possibly top Casino Royale because it had the ultimate bond story... (which is why I don't think he'll top connery over a large amount of movies) he just became a 00, and he learned his harshest lessons as an agent. It was shot well and had great acting so it has to be the best.

Nothing though... can compare to the suave connery style, it symbolizes bond's style.

So best bond? connery, best movie? craig's

I always lump 3 titles into the unholy trifecta of shit: Moonraker, A View To A Kill, and Die Another Day. As time passes, my hatred for DAD keeps growing. What an abortion of a movie. Who thought it was a good idea to try and pay homage to each of the previous 19 movies?
