How do people expect their parents to react when they find out they'll never have grandkids, and the family "blood" won't be passed on? I realize the PC responce to this would attack them for being "selfish", but what's selfish about such an instinctive, evolutionary aspect of humans?

I'm all for gay people but this has always puzzled me

I think most parents would prefer that their children be heterosexual. But then again most parents expect a lot of other shit too, so it's not surprising. My mom expects me to make more money than my dad, who makes more than $100,000 a year.
