My mom used to vanish to the bar and bring random guys home a couple times a week and you could hear them... She was/is a hardcore drunk. She'd also get shit faced and start swinging at me, throwing shit at me.
For a kid that's some fucked up shit. I also remember stopping her from shoving a knife in her stomach. I've also witnessed my dad putting a shot gun to his head. (I don't think they know I seen that shit). My mom also vanished for 2 weeks or so (which I honestly can't remember much of it) leaving us kids alone in the middle of bfe in some trailer. My dad was in jail so he couldn't come get us... we are s.o.l.

Your mom sounds a lot like how my dad acts. My mom is the complete opposite of both of them.
I once went to visit my dad one summer. And one night, his g/f broke up with him, so he freaked out, got in his car, took his boat and went to the lake. I stayed at the house, which was 30 miles from the nearest town, with some KFC in the fridge and 5 gallons of water and no phone. It was fucking awesome.
Kind of weird too, because I got found by my cousins that I hadn't seen in probably 6 years. They were driving between towns and figured they'd stop by to see my Dad, which they haven't spoken to in even longer, and they found me there. It was odd.
I hate my dad.
