I've known that the Apple store would be coming here to my town ever since victoria secret closed down its old store inside the mall (really good location inside) for a even larger store inside the mall. And since then i've mulled it around talked to some people that work for the mall. Finally its happening. I was really tight with the tech solutions consultant for Apple (he is payed by apple but works inside Compusa) when I worked for Compusa. He and I got along and shit.
So they just announced the store unofficially and i'm pretty sure that if I talk with him I could get a head start on getting a job there. Thing is i've never asked someone for help in getting me a job. And this job I want really badly. How do you approach someone casually after a breakdown, getting fired from compusa, and starting a new in a different industry and ask for a job? Do you be forth wright and explain the situation and why you'd like the opportunity for the job? Or do you kind of play koi and just shoot the shit and at the end ask him if he's willing to help you out?
I dont know how to do that. But i've got his number and his email. I think he's my best chance of getting a early start and big boost in support for getting the job. And probably my only way.
