Alright, to resurrect this thread.
I finally watched the film. It was very clever in places. It reminded me a lot of Fear and Loathing, where the movie is basically extremely weird the entire film and it finally breaks down into total "WTF" with a final return to sanity to close the movie. Instead of getting the material from Hunter S. Thompson, however, the material is taken from Orwell.
The acting was pretty good. Pryce did a decent job throughout the film, and having De Niro randomly pop up every once in a while was pretty cool. I couldn't really get into this film though. It was a good idea, but it just reminded me of Fear and Loathing. Honestly, if I had seen this first, I would be making the same comparisons of Fear and Loathing to Brazil though. All in all, it really didn't impress me to the degree that it has other people on this forum. It was decent, but not holy shit awesome.
