I post at SA, and SA isn't a new gaming board. It's more of a game discussion board. We talk about games over at SA, and news posts are few and far between. Most news is posted in console specific threads.

I like Blues News, he gets alot of PC stuff that GAF misses.

My first forum I joined was The Next Level (another GAF offshoot, I think?) .. pretty decent for discussion and lolz, but the traffic is horrible. I haven't been there in a few years now.

Generall gaf. People are just too quick there. News from magazines makes it onto the forums a day or two before they even get released, plus anything else that gets announced elsewhere is on gaf almost immediately.

I mainly just go to Gamasutra (for business news) and GAF (for OMG DMC4 NON-EXCLUSIVE SONY AM DOOMED news).

The main gaming blogs just annoy the shit out of me with their crappy writing and bottom-feeding journalism, for the most part. I read GameSetWatch and follow links from it, but that's about it.

Kotaku is very fast and is refreshing since they have humor and light editorial comments embedded in the news, and they don't take themselves seriously, they also have nice features from time to time, along with user comments if one desires to dig deeper in a particular game news

probably the best alternative to GAF
