You can view it right here!

I really dug Night Watch.  It wasn't the greatest film of all-time and it has a lot of flaws, but the series also has some real promise.  It's also nice to watch an epic messianic fantasy for a change that doesn't seem overly long or bloated with Hollywood sensibilities.

I thought night watch was a boring poorly paced movie with neat cinematography.

Sadly if I wanted to stare at moving pictures I could rent some fucking CHAPLIN!

The trilogy of short stories it is based on is a fair bit better, the third story excluded (it's filler character wank).

Nightwatch was kinda dissapointing for me, it had so much promise and the visuals were so great.  At least the ending was pretty good.  I'll go see Daywatch.
and I wish some of the other neat looking Russian genre films would come over here.  These guys are quickly becoming the world leaders in grungy Sci-Fi/Fantasy films.

edit:
anybody see The Sword Bearer?  There's a region free DVD out, it's got a decent trailer.  Anybody see this?

and Paragraph 78 looks freaking HOT(soldier-fu remake of The Thing, I guess).
check out the trailers, really, it looks pretty ace.

Yeah, foreigners are doing Hollywood better than Hollywood.  The Japanese and Koreans are rapidly becoming the kings of pop horror, the Chinese have been releasing better action films than their American counter parts for years, the Brits seem to be excelling at drama and thrillers and the Russians are totally carving out a fantasy/science-fiction niche.

The decline of American cultural dominance is slowly being felt.  The future belongs to China.  :gun
