And it will have some a world that's both persistent and instance based, using advantages from both. Sounds good, though I must remain skeptical.

It's going to try to do things no other MMO has done or any other game has done period.

Guild Wars is an amazing game. Great combat system. The fighting isn't a chore in contrary to most games.

I just hope the male character designs in Guild Wars 2 won't be so enormously gay like in Guild Wars. The female character designs are fantastic, on the otherhand.

The male character designs improved with each chapter.  Male dervishes are pretty slick and a major improvement over the neandrethal looking Warriors from Prophecies.  I haven't actually read anything about 2, but it sounds like it's doing the things I wanted.

You are wandering through the countryside and you see a dragon flying overhead. You and a group try to stave off the dragon. If you are successful the nearby town gives you a treasure.

But if you don't drive off the dragon, the bridge will be destroyed. This will lead to a team of carpenters gathering at the bridge to try to fix it and then you will have to protect them from bandits.

I should have added "to me".  A lot of people play WoW for all the wrong reasons and that won't change with GW2. With a persistent world and larger pve in GW2, then I don't have any reason to bother with WoW anymore.

Though Unless they SCREW IT UP WITH THIS 100zoflevelols in GW2 (and now that I'm 70 in WoW and hitting the dreaded wow endgame that I heard only rumors of before) I can see why some people would be jumping ship from wow to gw2.

I just hope they just innovate a lot of try all kinds of new shit.

So far I've heard you can now do stuff like jump, climb (trees, mountains) and swim. You can jump during combat. I don't like the sound of that. The jumping and running around your enemy ruined combat in WoW, among other things. I don't need that shit. So maybe jumping isn't something that you can constantly do or something. I hope.

On the other hand, I'm rather curious to see how this MMO new genre-breaking sequel will turn out.  The whole cutscene -> playtime dynamic was kinda cool in the first one.
