I try to get rid of the "new posts" notice really fast by clicking on the topic if I think the discussion is done, and then quickly backspacing but once I backspace the new posts notice is gone. Before it would stay there until I chose a forum to go to.\

It's slow when browsing and posting.

yeah it does that because I changed mysql settings. It makes the default theme change, so I changed it back.

Also, is there any chance of a theme-selector for users? I thoroughly enjoyed the orange look around Halloween.

user selectable themes is up to willco, I looked and an option for it does exist. Problem is when we start adding features usually you have to edit code in each theme individually and it can get very tedious.
