Visually anyway. First time I saw it was on a crummy SDTV and it looked pretty bland, but I was playing it on my HDTV and holy fuck. Now if sony would only make a controller good for FPS games :(

I <3 VF5, and aside from the controls resistance is ok. The AI's aim is way too deadly on easy tho wtf.

It's good seeing someone other than myself else praising a PS3 title...

I dunno; there's some nice and subtle effects, but it feels like Half-Life 2: Special Ed Edition.

multiplayer was good.. reminded me of the old quake 2 days -- fast paced, constant frags, and a whole lot of chaos.  single player was meh at best though graphically very good.  still lacks soul.

I beat the single player mode about five minutes ago. What an incredibly fun, well put together title.

I don't play very many FPSes, by the way (last gen: Halo, Halo 2, Republic Commando, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath and Half Life 2 were the only ones I played). That might explain why I enjoyed Resistance as much as I did.

I really wish Sony would release an FPS controller of some sort.

I honestly found the Sixaxis to be just as nice as the Xbox type-S controller when playing FPS'es.

Sorry, I need triggers in the back and the analog sticks not raised so high, gives my hand cramps after too long.

oh, i hate the sixaxis for fps -- the sticks are too loose, and the triggers are either the shallow L1/R1 buttons or the flimsy analog L2/R2 ones. the xbox s-controller triggers feel like triggers, and have great resistance (lol). it works alright for oblivion, but not for my precious, precious gunporn.
