CG's mom can cook. She made this fried chicken that bested my mom's own midwestern secret family recipe of pan fried chick that had been a childhood favorite of mine. Anything she cooks on the grill is amazing. The soup dishes are great too. Her wonton soup poops on generic, Americanized wonton soup.

Well maybe its the chinese around here that i've grown up with has all been cooked by non chinese and has tasted better to me. I would like to come over and try becky's mom's cooking if its that damn good.

Any good places in san fran or in san jose when i come up later in the month?

There's a Chinese restaurant in the Goshen Shopping Center (it has a CVS and McD's and stuff in there) that's more authentic.

In the past, it's been shut down for health code violations. I highly recommend this joint.

For "good" Chinese food, you'd have to hike it to Bethesda or Adams Morgan.

I ate at Peking Palace on the other side of Germantown Rd. on Wisteria. It was decent-- about the same quality as Asia Cafe, but a little cheaper and you get TWO FREE CHICKEN WINGS with a combination platter for some bizarre reason.
