Andy Barker is pretty good. If I was in charge of NBC, my "Thursday Night Comedy" block would be The Office, 30 Rock, Andy Barker and My Name is Earl.

Well they made nothing official but they pulled the final episode of the 6 episode run and won't air it so they can bring 30 Rock a week early what does that tell ya? They didn't officially pull Joey either. It just dissapeared.

And Andy Barker's rating are rather bad. 30 Rock struggled to get a second season with 3.6ish ratings. Barker got around 2.5. I enjoyed it quite a bit but it didn't have a chance.

The moment they put all the episodes online before it aired, you knew it was going to get canned. I called it awhile ago.

At any rate, Nielson ratings are bunk. They need some kind of version of Soundscan but for television.

I saw a commercial where they had 30 Rock, Scrubs, The Office and Andy Barker on the same night, so I'm going to take what you're saying with a grain of salt - no offense, but I really do like AB, P.I. and I would like to see it given a chance.

Poor Andy Richter just can't get a break $:-\$

Didn't they put them all up immediately after the pilot? I don't think that's necessarily a sign of no hope; all the nets are trying to get with the newfangled intarwebs.

That makes no sense. Sure, you might put the pilot up or maybe a web exclusive episode or something, but having all the episodes online before the show even aired was a sure fire signal that it had very little in the way of hope.

I really like - nay, love - Jeff Goldbloom's sublime acting in that show, but on a whole, there's something about it that seems very... unoriginal? Uninspired? I still watch it though.

Andy Barker is cute and enjoyable. 30 Rock is just fucking AWESOME.

Barker is well done traditional sitcom...30 Rock is one of those few sitcoms that rise above the fray.

Yeah. I saw a few episodes; thought the first episode was hilarious. I still watch it whenever it comes on G4 and it's funny to a certain degree. I laugh out loud, so that's a start

its near impossible to enjoy it via random re-runs. Each episode's humor is like 70% based on inside jokes established in the last 2-3 episodes. It's part of the reason the show had no chance to survive. The show is built around inside jokes that grow.

Uh this is AD, it is like the most beloved sitcom since seinfeld.

It's not a question of funny or opinion, it is just plain how AD is built. AD is a show about weird inside jokes that build over the series. The reason "The Final Countdown" stuff with Gob is so loved is not because "lol silly song" it's because he does it OVER AND OVER AND OVER for every magic trick he does on the show.

you are smart enough to realize quality does not equal ratings. It was beloved from day one and won loads of emmys despite its weak ratings.

do you think many people watched the british "the office" when it aired here? of course not, that doesn't mean it isn't one of the most important sitcoms in the history of tv.

Dude. Okay, you suck. It's confirmed man. I thought you were on crazy balls drugs when you said the Office was sort of sucky, but I let you go because honestly some people just don't like it. But now saying AD uses overused jokes? Go watch Friends.

What is it then? It's not a traditional sitcom but it is a half-hour situational comedy about a family.
