*nods* I agree.  I've dabbled a bit with multitracks but I seem to perform better with an electric.  I don't know, I've never been able to find quality strings for my acoustic–I know they're out there but I'm lazy.

I swear. Chris Bell and Alex Chilton were like a more earthy Lennon/McCartney. Maybe not as much of a lyrical powerhouse but Jesus Christ if they didn't record an absolutely perfect beautiful album together. Then Chilton on his own doing the next two Big Star albums, which progress from fucking awesome to haunting and sad.

Slide guitar dripping in reverb and in a distant sort of flange is beautiful when mixed with multitracked acoustic guitar.
