Anyone have a membership to Sam's club?

How much does it cost? That place is big. 40 gallon jugs of gatorade should be a standard for every store in America.

I think this one sells games and stuff too, its friggin huge. Wal-Mart owns Sam's Club but its like a mile long, and makes most department stores look like a gas station by comparison.

Costco lately has sucked with game prices, they did have halo 2 with guide for .99 cents freaking people were buying those by the box. Couldnt even get one. They got great prices on dvds though. And Vizio tv's freaking rock.

Plus the hotdogs arent bad =P

Samsclub has this smell to it. Smells like a huge vat of nacho cheese and and poop

Looks like it's $40 for a year? I didn't read too closely into what the different membership options offer.

My parents have a membership to BJ's Wholesale. Their DVD and game selections are pathetic :(

I've tried both Costco and Sam's, and think that Costco is WAAAY better.  Better selection, better prices.  I have my car insurance through them (Ameriprise) and I'm getting an amazing rate,  the best I could find after pricing everyone.

In addition to all of these reasons, I feel good supporting a company who supports their employees.  This is why they're known as the "Anti-Walmart", and a reason for me to like them even more.

Sam's Club is too militaristic for me. Before letting you in, you have to show your Sams ID to the greeting person at the door. My mom has a membership, and sometimes she sends me there with her ID.

Greeting person: ID
Phoenix: Uh, here
...
Greeting person: That doesn't look like you
Phoenix: That's because it's my mom.
Greeting person: Don't get smart with me young man. Show me your driver's license

I don't know which stores you've been to, but the Costcos I go to have tons of games for every system.  The prices for the new games are usually $5-$7 cheaper than MSRP.  They also have a good selection of older games and PC games.  I do notice that around the holidays they get a TON of games in stock.

Also, their bundles are actually good.  I bought my 360 there -- Premium, extra wireless, play & charge kit + PGR3 = $470, which saves $40.  And if your console fails (two of mine from there did), you just take it back and they hand you CASH back, no questions asked.  Everything there has an lifetime warranty, except for computers which is 6 months.
