Did you ever consider that it might have helicoptors? Fuck planes. GTAIII and VC didn't have planes aside from a few.

They never ruled out air transportation at all, so stop making something out of nothing.

The Dodo sucked. And I liked Helicopters and deeply resented their exclusion from Santipular Androids.

Nevermind the fact that this is a game where you can kill cops and prostitutes. I think Rockstar just didn't care enough to include planes again. I couldn't care less. I spent maybe a day parachuting out at 1000 feet in the air, but other than that they're pretty boring.

sorry, just had to. I'm hoping that the controls will improve for the new game, I'm willing to give R* the benefit of the doubt and assume they've ramped up a lot of the niggling gameplay issues people had with previous games in the series.

The main dude for Rockstar stated they know about the bad controls in GTA (mainly targeting). They said they've been really working on it. Cain't wait to see what comes about.

Its supposed to be based in a New York like City (thats called Liberty City). Not big enough for a plan (possibly) or its just awkward to have planes available just to fly across a City. I still think there will be Helicopters and a Dodo hidden around the city (Dodo is like a Plane/Glider)

And Himuro, I can't imagine they're going to bring this series to a level of realism that wouldn't allow for some of the goofier things that made the previous games fun. All they're accomplishing by not including planes is limiting the sandbox aspect of the game. We don't need to fly airliners or jet fighters, but why not include a little fixed wing seaplane or something? I don't see a reason not to.

From what I understand, there ARE helicopters, but there's a good reason there's no planes.

You do not go outside the city, as in San Andreas. You spend the entire game in Liberty City, and well, plane travel is just kinda silly. Who takes a jet from the Bronx to Queens?

I hate the "lets put in a ton of motherfucking useless stuff to fill the game up" part about San Andreas. I still remember people literally dying from laughter when they found out the dildo in the police station. That shit is not funny, nor the fact that you can use it as a weapon. Dumb assholes. SA really did get too ridiculous. Helicopters are more than enough, and it will limit the game to more of a Vice City level.
