I'm a big fan of Shiraz and the Cab-Shiraz mix...
I used to have family friends who owned a tiny vineyard in the hills outside Yakima, we would go over every summer/fall to help pick grapes and make wine (red and white). It was a lot of fun, we ate like kings and always ended up with numerous cases of wine to last us the year. They've since moved down to Bend, OR, but he's now the brewmaster for Deschutes Brewery, so getting tons of Mirror Pond for free is a nice trade off.
