Being able to play SNES and PS1 games on the go sounds good but it's too complicated and time consuming for me to get it working on a PSP and I don't see myself getting into it.

So anyway, is it worth buying a PSP if I don't plan on using it for emulation, just games?

Meh, I prefer the DS, since it can play GBA games too, thus making it have the bigger library. DS also has a ton of great platformers/puzzle games/RPGs that I like to play on the go.

To be honest, at first I was really hyped when I bought my PSP, but other than Me & My Katamari and Gundam Battle Tactics, I haven't played it much at all.

I don't use my PSP for emulation either. I'm not risking bricking a $200 piece of electronics.

Bricking only occurs if you're a dumb dumb. I'd bet Phoenix Dark could even do it.

Answer to topic: no, not at all. I couldn't imagine having it any other way. I barely play my hacked psp as is.

Looking forward to seeing how Etrian Odyssey is gonna be, and of course DQ9, but so far, both portables dropped the ball on quality RPGs. Lucky for me, my GBA backlog is big enough to keep me occupied.
