Okay I went out and got some shit on VC too, Gain Ground is totally sweet. Go up to like level 50 last night but when the robots turn up you lose your dudes like crazy. Awesome game

Is it that DVD version? I think the only things I hated about BG1 were the disc swapping and imoen.

The best Infinity Engine games combat wise IMO were Icewind Dale offerings with Planescape Torment offering up the best story, atmosphere, and quest variety.

Yeah it's the DVD. I got it for free years ago when I bought a pc. Never played it seriously. Well I tried but it was too hard and I ended up cheating and only got to the Nashkel Mines and still couldn't survive. Right now, I am at Nashkel Mines again, but legit.

Icewind Dale 2 was pretty difficult too, I forget if either the community or the developer ended up patching it to make it a little easier.

The U.S. got KOF Neowave on the Xbox. That's a slightly gimped port from what I hear though. It's the lack of KOF XI, NGBC, and SS Tenka that are the real crimes here. And dumbass SNK USA is like "HEY FORGET THOSE WE'RE GIVING YOU ART OF FIGHTING!!"

Updated my playing list since I spent a bunch of time last night playing fighters...

Picked up Super Paper Mario thursday but haven't felt like playing it yet.

Every time I try to play SF3 3s online there's NOBODY playing. :/ Still looking for a copy of KOF Neowave on the XBox, but meanwhile the game being added to BC got me playing the PS2 version again. I forgot how much I like playing it, and how FAST Neowave is. I don't know why I'm bothering trying to find Neowave on Xbox, since I'm sure no one plays it online anyway.

Not sure what you're saying, but you sound confused. KOF Neowave is a stand-alone release. It is not a double-pack like KOF 2002 and 2003 were. Neowave is basically a remixed 2002, with a slightly different roster and some added game play elements. It uses the same sprites as KOF 2002, not the redrawn/changed ones used in KOF 2003, which came out earlier.

KOF XI is the real sequel to KOF 2003. It's got a shit ton of fighters, an improved tag system, and just all-around kicks fucking ass. Along with Neo-Geo Battle Coliseum and Samurai Spirits Tenkaichi Kenkakuden, it's easily the best fighting game released from the "new" SNK.

KOF XI did not get released on the Xbox, BTW. It's a PS2-only release. Neowave was the last of the bunch on the Xbox.

I bought GOD HAND for $16... it's a lot of fun, reminiscent of a classic brawler, doesn't take itself seriously at all. I think you turn a little too fast though and I'm worried that the novelty will wear thin after a while (I'm on the end of the second chapter). Great game, I think a lot of the mainstream reviewers just didn't "get it".

I dunno the games pretty challenging. Man I felt awesome the first time I beat those two femme mexican wrestler guys. I mean the whole novelty angle could be played against any beat em up, and God Hand has a lot more going for it with the custom combos and whatnot.

I finally decided to devote my gaming attention to God of War II. Absolutely incredible title, Sony did a good job with the PS2's swan song (even if Persona 3 has yet to come out). I haven't finished GOWII yet, but I'm already eagerly awaiting the next one on the PS3.

was really good. One of the best co-op games I've played. Seems like a good party game.

nearly done with the single player and the online is FUCKING AWESOME.

Used prost's custom class (think mage with no alchemy) and have gotten to level 27 so far. Doing better than my last playthrough so I don't have to really lower the difficulty.
