Mel Gibson's best film? Yes. :bow. With all of the 80's revival going around there is rumors of a 4th film in the series which I fear but that is for another day. THIS THREAD IS DEDICATED THE AMAZING ROAD WARRIOR!

There is a stylistic quality about it and Mad Max that could not be replicated today. A very barren, bleak, minimalistic feel that gives the movie it's charm. Once the franchise went "Hollywood", 'Thunderdome' was the end result. So, that's what we would get today .. a sequel to Thunderdome. No thanks.

aw hell ya.

Cheebs has my full and complete support to gush over The Road Warrior as much as possible.  Over 20 years later and it hasn't aged a bit, maybe its gotten even more impressive now that its unique formula of western/gearhead/sci-fi has yet to be matched, or even attempted.

Best post-apocalyptic movie EVER!
