Just got back from the library. I got there around 8:20, and studied from 8:30 to about 11:13. I was shooting for 3 hours, but even though I didn't get there I can't help but feel good. Tomorrow I plan on going from 6pm to midnight.

But omg people need to learn some god damn LIBRARY ETIQUETTE. People were constantly taking calls and not even trying to whisper. WTF. To make matters worse, there were a couple gay guys in the computer area laughing and making snide remarks for about an hour.

Studying in the library is nice but it could also be too comfortable sometimes. I fall asleep whenever I sit on a nice cushioned seat because it's so quiet and peaceful. I also have to stay away from the computers. Everytime I get on the computer to check some stuff out, I end up messing around for much longer than I intend to.

That's not entirely true. I know my undergrad school had lots of erotic literature and books like the 50th anniversary Playboy hardcover. The only problem with that playboy book was that you had to get it from the librarian. I guess they were afraid some horny student might cut out the pages. My friends were curious about the playboy book but they were too embarrassed to get it from the librarian.

This is true. But those naps would only allow me to be more focused when I woke up. Power naps, if you will.

I normally sit at a table instead of taking one of the comfy seats. I prefer the big desks that have the walls that give you a bit of privacy

Sitting at a table is a good idea if you're trying to study. It makes you less likely to fall asleep because you don't want to look like a dork in front of the other students.

You can't use cell phones in my school's library or they will kick you out. It helps for people who need quiet to study, you know?

I was at the library today from 7pm to 11pm. I was supposed to stay until midnight but I felt I studied enough; tomorrow I'm gonna wake up early and get 3 more hours of study in before class.

A lot of the time, if you have a good instructor, you don't really need to study as long as you pay attention and retain the information in class.

I do agree though, libraries are awesome. I go there more for fun than function though.
