He is only like only 10 years older than Harrison Ford. It worked in TLC, people didn't seem to care. I doubt they will attempt to make note of this obvious age problem because well Connery doesn't look 90.

Teotihuacan is known as "City of Gods"

It likely has to do with that.

Remember that Connery sipped from the Holy Grail at the end of Last Crusade, so I'm sure that means he has a longer life span than a normal person, and should still be vigorous at 90.

I'm interested to know if they're going to follow continuity with the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles...if Harrison Ford is playing his own age, then he should have an eyepatch like old Indy did on the TV show!

Remember what Lucas did though. For syndication and video release he cut out all the bookends with old Indiana Jones and the scenes will be cut out for the DVD release this year.

90 Year Old Jones bookends no longer exist in that Lucasy way.

Are you serious? I read an interview with that old dude once, he was so happy to be playing old Indy.  Well, I guess he's probably dead by now so he doesn't care.  Still sucks, though.

But I'm pretty sure Harrison Ford did a guest spot on Young Indy playing himself, and he had the eyepatch at that time.

Just searched IMDB:

"The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" .... Indiana Jones - age 50 (1 episode, 1993)
    - Young Indiana Jones and the Mystery of the Blues (1993) TV Episode .... Indiana Jones - age 50

I haven't seen the show in a while but I'm pretty sure that when he did the episode, he had the eyepatch.

Harrison Ford did play Indy on one episode and he did not have the eye patch, only the 90 year old verision did.

Ah, okay.  I think Indiana Jones would look pretty cool with the eyepatch.  If he's actually playing himself at 64, though...doesn't that mean the movie would take place in the sixties? :/

whats wrong with taking place in the 60's with commies as the baddies. Harrison looks very good for his age but cant play WWII era anymore.

Picture of him as of last year:

Well, the thing with it taking place in the sixties is that I wonder if Shia "The Beef" LaBeouf is going to end up playing like some sort of hippie flower child. :/

Karen Allen's character who would raise him doesn't strike me as a hippy.

Just 'cause his mom's not a hippie doesn't mean he isn't.  I guarantee you most of the flower children's parents were good old fashioned conservatives.

It's weird, but if they're going to do a fourth Indy I kinda hope they'll do a fifth and sixth one too...make it a second trilogy.

You say speculation, I say indisputable FACT.  My inside sources as Lucasfilm confirm that Shia LaBeouf will be playing Indy's son as a hippie, with Indy being deeply ashamed of his son's pacifist tendencies.  The unkindest cut of all will be at the end when LaBeouf turns out to be a commie...the ultimate betrayal.

Also, John Williams will not be doing the soundtrack for this film.  Tangerine Dream has been contracted to provide the music.

If? It's not been a if for a long time. Pre-production and set building have been going on for months with active shooting dates set for June.

Ok, change "if" to "since."

I'm subconsciously still hoping George Lucas is punking us all, obviously.

Well Indy IV has been planned since as early as 1992 only 3 years after TLC.

But according to Wiki, that Indy sequel was supposed to feature River Phoenix as Indiana Jones with Harrison Ford as Henry Jones, Sr.

River Phoenix died so we get Shia LaBeouf!

No, I meant how the premise of that movie was, bumping Ford up to Connery's role.  River Phoenix was really cool, but it's a shame really.  Would rather had him then LeBarf, but whatever.
