My mom was able to "teach" our cat pretty quickly that it wasn't supposed to be on the furniture upstairs. She'd just keep this old Windex bottle, fill it with water, and then spray the cat whenever it tried to get on chairs/couches/etc :lol

Also MAF you're gonna need to brush the cat's hair. Just make sure you do it alot; it'll get the excess hair off, and it's pretty easy to do

I get the feeling that your mom is the type of woman that can convince anything of something if she wants to.

My cat likes to be brushed and made a fuss over like that. Gram and Pop's cat doesn't like to be brushed. Needless to say, he sheds a LOT more than my baby does.

But maybe that's because my cat is perfect. :heart
