Just finished watching Dexter

Great show, and very unique. Michael Hall did a magnificent job playing Dexter, with a so-so supporting cast.

I didn't like how Erik King played Sgt. Doakes, though. The character himself was way too shadowy and closed.

What could they possibly drag into season 2, now? I don't see this show going past a few seasons. The only thing I could see is Dexter possibly rejecting his "code" and Doakes trying to take him down.

Also, season 2 will not be based off the second book.

actually, i recommend you read it -- doakes' fate is darkly hilarious. i can't do it justice. it's a short, easy read!
